Finally! Yes! Thanks to the OP.
I'm running happily on the following in-game settings:
Shadow Quality: High Cache Size: Extreme Screen 1: 1920 x 1200 (Window Mode through EVE Launcher) Screen 2: 1600 x 1200 (Window Mode through EVE Launcher)
nHancer settings:
Anti-Aliasing: 8x Multisampling with Gamma Correction & SuperTransparency. Anisotropic Filtering: 8x Anti-Aliasing Compatibility: Oblivion (AA & HDR) High Dynamic Range (HDR): Checked
This is running on a Windows Vista Ultimate x86, P4 4.41GHz, 3GB RAM & a BFG NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX OC 768MB PCIe.
Works like a charm!

There might just be a little something for ATI-users to enable the Oblivion workaround in a similar manner as for the NVIDIA-cards:
AMD ATi Knowledge Base - 737-21960: Catalyst Beta 6.9 for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - aka The Chuck Patch
bit-tech.net - ATI delivers AA+HDR for Oblivion
Just Google away, there are tons of info on the subject.

Originally by: Greylin ok another question do I turn HDR on in the game or no?
my game crashes if I try to run it in fullscreen and I'm not sure if its doing anything in windowed. But if I turn HDR on in windowed my AA definatly goes away and I think my nHancer settings are correct
Turn HDR off in EVE & let nHancer do the work.
Also, with these settings, I've noticed that when I launch EVE, the AA is not activated. Just 'Esc' out & hit one of the apply buttons in the graphics settings without doing any changes, 'Esc' out again. That should do it.

That sounds weird, you sure it's nHancer forcing this?
Friend of mine had similar things happening & was ****ed at the EVE Launcher app not letting him keep EVE maximized with the "Semi-full screen" mode using a dual screen setup (client minimizes if running fullscreen & clicking on secondary display window). Turns out he constantly forgot to press "Apply" when setting window-mode in the EVE graphics configuration :)
I'm not saying you are doing something similar, just asking if you think you've eliminated the most obvious (and therefore maybe easily overlooked) possibilties since I've never heard nHancer can even force a resolution?

Do you notice any difference in Eve performance depending on where the HDR is activated?
The reason I ask is that pre-Trinity EVE gave me better framerates if FSAA was activated via the drivers vs. Eve's graphics settings.
No, I cannot activate HDR ingame since it then turns off any AA set through the drivers. The only way to get HDRI working for me has been to disable it in EVE & force it with the nHancer Oblivion trick. Neither have I performed any benchmarking running only with HDRI (shifting between nHancer/EVE HDRI) & no AA since in my opinion, AA is a visual requirement to enjoy this games graphics to it's fullest. I simply cannot stand ugly jaggiez.
Originally by: Emerald Cortess Hello there! I want to have both HDR and AA. It works fine with nhancer, but ONLY in fullscreen.
Any ideas what i can try to get it to work in windowed mode? Reason is, that i love to use semi-fullscreen through eve-launcher.
Thanks in Advance!
I have had no problems (ie. few problems) running windowed or semi windowed through EVE Launcher. I just hit escape, and then escape again at the logon screen if I notice that AA is not active (easy to see near the planet/starlight). This seems to pair up the AA with HDRI & the jaggiez are gone.

Originally by: Rekona Edited by: Rekona on 06/12/2007 23:13:33 I can't even install nHancer.
Now, I don't know if you are running XP or Vista but I searched the registry on my own Vista machine, and it turns out that these files:
disk1.cab nHancer.msi
are actually located under:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\KSE\nHancer\install
so my bet is that if you are running XP, they would be located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\Application Data\KSE\nHancer\install
Hope this helps.

Very nice indeed. How does this solution feel about AA+HDR in Window Mode? Anyone tried it with the EVE Launcher app & managed to get both AA+HDR running in semi-fullscreen?

Does someone know how to resolve this ?
Try this together with Forceware 169+ if you have not done so already:
New Features in nHancer 2.3.2 (2007 11 02)
* Support for 8800 GT (G92) cards * Compatibility with Forceware 169+ added * Added Italian User Interface (thanks to Giulio Sosio!) * Fixed installer problem that impeded installation on some systems with non-latin unicode settings * Several additional 8x00 cards (G84 & G86) and 7x00 cards detected correctly now * Added new SLI mode introduced with Forceware 169 * Smaller bugfixes
